Rating: 3.5 Stars I recently purchased the Black Kingz Kore V2 Gi, and overall, I must say that it's a solid option for anyone in the jiu-jitsu community. This gi is undoubtedly comfortable and durable, but there are a few aspects that left me a bit conflicted about giving it a higher rating. Starting with the positives, the comfort level of the Black Kingz Kore V2 Gi is definitely a standout feature. The fabric feels soft against the skin and doesn't cause any irritation even during intense training sessions. The jacket fits well and offers the right balance between a snug fit and freedom of movement. This allows for flexibility during rolls and drills, contributing to an enhanced training experience. Durability is another area where the Black Kingz Kore V2 Gi shines. The stitching and material used seem to be of high quality, suggesting that this gi can withstand the rigors of regular training without showing signs of wear and tear too soon. This is essential, especially for practitioners who engage in frequent and intense training sessions. However, I did encounter a notable drawback with the pants that come with the gi, which is the main reason why I'm giving it a 3.5-star rating. The pants, unfortunately, proved to be tighter around the thighs than I had anticipated. This tightness limited my mobility while rolling and performing various techniques. As anyone who practices jiu-jitsu knows, having unrestricted movement is crucial to effectively executing techniques and improving one's skills. While the top-half of the gi provided a comfortable fit, the pants' design felt somewhat restrictive. It's worth mentioning that this issue might be subjective and could vary depending on body type and personal preference. For someone with slimmer thighs, the pants might offer a more comfortable fit. Nevertheless, it's essential for any gi to cater to a wide range of body types, ensuring that practitioners can fully utilize their range of motion. In conclusion, the Black Kingz Kore V2 Gi is a respectable choice for practitioners seeking comfort and durability in their jiu-jitsu attire. The jacket is well-fitted and allows for ample movement, while the overall build quality inspires confidence in its longevity. However, the tighter fit of the pants around the thighs did hamper my mobility and performance during training sessions. If the pants' design could be tweaked to offer better mobility without compromising on durability, this gi could easily earn a higher rating from me.
