Big Rope Belt for Pants

The ad for this gi does not show what the pants waist is like. Before you purchase, you may want to research the waist of the pants, because there is a thick rope-like cord that is used to cinch the waist and there is a part of the waistband, on both sides of the hip, where the back of the waistband is separated from the front of the waistband. This may be an issue because the rope-like cord may rub up against the person's skin in those two areas, because there is nothing between the cord and the person's skin in those two areas. If the website would have shown the waist of these pants and that there was a thick rope-like cord that is used to keep cinch the waist, I would not have purchased this gi for my son. The rope-like cord is so thick that it's likely to be uncomfortable for my son when he's on his back on the ground. It's literally like a jump rope thickness. If I could post a picture of it I would have, but I don't see a way to do that.

Don’t go by the chart

Had to exchange for a different Gi as it was too small and a larger size was not in stock. Seemed to be good quality for the price. FM was excellent with the return/exchange. The only drawback is that Kings size chart is way off and the measurements are not accurate. I would recommend ordering a size larger.

Gi is great, would have liked to choose belt size

The gi is great, and while I’m skinny and tall and thought the gi was too big when it arrived, a little bit of warm washing and it was just the right fit. My only issue was that since the gi was large, the free white belt promotion came with the same size belt, which was longer than I wanted. I ended up having to get a separate belt in a smaller size which fit perfectly.
