      Best Gi by far.

This is the best Gi I have ever had, i first thought about getting the hayabusa. But I am happy I went with the scramble.

Pants are impressive and slim. Beware if you have big beefy thighs,,,they may be too snug. I'm tall and long limbed. Best drawstring I've seen on any gi- it's not stretchy, but compresses a bit to make tight knots but can be easily untied. Rope-style. When I buy Jeans in North America, 32 inseam are a bit short- I buy 34 and then hem them a little. This pants is sitting perfect directly above my ankle bone...almost touching the ankle bone. Will be perfect if they don't shrink, tolerable if they only shrink a hair. I thought it was common that tall people have longer limbs more often than having really long torsos, so I find it curious that the jacket is quite long (about 2.5 -3 inches longer in the skirt than my 4 other gis of various brands) yet the pants are not ESPECIALLY long. I may have the jacket tailored to shorten the skirt. Luckily in South Africa I have access to great and inexpensive tailors who will replace all the trims and cut the lapel neatly. (I've done this before on a manto 3.0) The jacket fits beautifully under the armpits and in the body except for being a bit long. The sleeves are long and with normal shrinkage should be perfect and should satisfy the L-size buyer when it comes to arm length. The 550g pearl weave feels lighter than my 450g jackets in other brands. Perhaps I don't understand fabric weight. The fabric of this jacket feels like it has a bit of 'give'...I hesitate to call it stretch...not very robust feeling...but I have noticed other brand new gis feeling similar lately. I think it is a trend to go lighter and lighter fabrics don't feel as sturdy. The blue is a SMIDGE deeper than other blue Gis. Not as deep as it appears in photos, but beautiful never the less. The ever-slightly faded bumps of the pearl weave look nice to me too :) In summary...A3L wearers will be happy with jacket and pants...only jacket skirt may be longer than usual. Looks gorgeous, feels light. Skeptical about durability. Time will tell. Examples of my A3L gis which I compare it to include Fushida CompRS (Rugged tank), Kingz 450compV3 (sturdy awesome gi but not very slender), Kingz Ripstop v2 (amazing jacket but short wide pants) Hope that's helpful!

Thank you for your detailed review and feedback! We greatly appreciate it!

      Best Gi ever owned

This Gi is really awesome! The fit is literally perfect, got a A3, Im 6'1" 185lbs slim/long arms. I was used to a Judo Gi fit witch is a lot more baggy.. The Scramble fit gi/pants is a lot better. I would suggest the Athlete V2 in size A3 for guys between 5'11"-6'1" 180lbs-195lbs.
